Carly Jayne Ensley was an extremely bright, beautiful, and artistically talented young girl. Carly was a student at Hoover High School in North Canton, Ohio. She was diagnosed with advanced liver cancer in November 1999 and died in February 2001 at the age of 16. Her story inspired many by the memorable way she faced the challenges of her disease with courage, dignity, a zest for life, and always a smile. Cancer took her life, but never her spirit. This very special girl is deeply missed and will never be forgotten. The example of her ability to live her short life to the fullest had a strong impact on the very many who knew her. She is survived by her parents Dwight and Cindy Ensley and sister Maggie Ensley. May her art and example inspire strength, grace, and acceptance of whatever life brings your way.
